Internet & Web / Online Scam

I recently ordered a very expensive case with Xoxide.com and it did come. The packaging was in very well shape and I thought all was good. When I opened it to examine the contents, I was shocked at the lack of accessories in the unit. The case is 350$ (give or take a few). They have listed for accessories to purchase with it, a rear hard drive mount unit (an optional component if you don't want to mount in the front 5.25' bays). This would lead anyone to believe that everything else should be there.

Fans, hard drive cage (s), filters, etc. Especially considering 2 sites (the only 2 sites worth a hoot) they have listed as 'addition information' both show large amount of accessories bundled with it. Every possible set up more or less came with it (but in the very least, enough to build a computer with).

There is ONLY the case. There is no current way to mount any hard drive other then buying MORE stuff. At 350$ I had already spent over a month debating on to get it or not. Now to find that in order to make it functional it would take 30-40$ per three 5.25' bay (since the accessories that come with it take up 3 bays for hard drives or fans, other single bay accessories could raise the price). Plus 30$ for the power supply filter and that all possible fan holes need grills and fans and any panel option would also have to be purchased. This runs the bill of this 350$ case well up to 800$ or more.

Here is the exact e-mail I sent (taking out my order number and name and ticket number).

'I recently bought the *Lian Li PC-343B Modular Cube Case - Black, and it came all safe and sound. However I was very disappointed to see there was nothing inside it. I knew there was a module you could buy to mount hard drives in the back if you didn't want to mount them in the front. I assumed it came with the proper accessories to take care of the basic features, since none of the other 'accessories' were listed for purchase.

Two sites that have reviews on this product both are listed on your site as 'additional information'. Both sites list a lot of accessories. Since the module was for separate purchase I assumed sine none of the other accessories are listed on your site, that they came with the case. And for nearly 360$ I would assume I'd get more then a piece of metal. Hard wareforums.com/content-view/lian-li-modular-cube-case-1-12167/ overclockers.com/articles1358/

You have no information on your site regarding 'in the box' or 'accessories not included'. Without the accessories that I expected to come with it, I do not want this case. I'm not willing to spend nearly 500-600$ just to make a case work.' There response was this:

Hi,

I apologize for the inconvenience. We try to provide the most accurate, and up to date information on all of our products so that our customers fully understand what they should expect. I understand your frustration, as it is an expensive case. I can issue you an RMA to return this if you would like. Please let me know what you would like us to do.

Thank you,
