Online Rip-off

On November 30th, I found the Satin 'N' Lace shops online store (http://www.satinnlaceshops.com/). The merchandise looked very nice, and I was excited to see that they had items that were ment for larger women. Bridal lingerie is very hard to find if you are a large woman. I ordered one item from them, with an almost immediate, and very nice response from one of the supposed owners, Michael Uhde.in his email he stated that he had received the order and that they would get to work on it right away. Two weeks later I had not seen anything from them, so I sent an email asking for an update on the order. Nothing. Another week passed, and another email asking for an update. Still no response. So, I tried calling them at the number that they presented on their website for the supposed CUSTOMER CARE CENTER 908~245-5223. No answer! I called several times with no answer. I have sent no fewer than 10 emails to this company and not one has been given the courtesy of a response. I have repeatedly requested a refund of the charges that they happily placed against my credit card, but nothing has been done and no merchandise has been received.

It is now January 21, and I have made repeated calls to the other number that they have on their web page where a lady by the name of Phyllis claims to be running the "other store". She maintains that there is nothing she can do, and she is unable to issue a credit or even verify my order until she speaks to Mike. I have called her no fewer than 5 times and she is just useless since she is unable to do anything and for some reason is unable to actually speak to Mike to resolve the problem. I have reported them to the New Jersey BBB, and I fully intend on continuing my weekly calls to the useless Phyllis until I receive a refund!

Late breaking news on this one... Phyllis the useless called my home phone today and left a message asking me for my credit card number so she could charge me for the other two items that I had asked about, but not ordered, at the time of the first order. I still have not received the first order from them, and I have not received a refund either. Do they think that I am so stupid as to give them my credit card numbers a second time? NO WAY! I cancelled my credit card because of them because I did not want to be subjected to any further charges - which I had a feeling that they would try. I called the credit card company and they did indeed try to charge me for additional items today.

This place is a total rip-off. They sell nothing, take orders for products via the web that they have no intention of delivering.

Especially scumbags like satin 'n' lace shops!
