Popups won't stop

I only browsed PC Mighty Max.net to see what it was about. I ran their scan whereby they claimed to have found 209 errors on my computer. When I found the Mighty Max was not free, I refrained from registering and I thought this would stop the popups and "warnings" But it hasn't. I am not that computer knowledgable but I want all popups from Mighty Max to stop. It is interfering with my use and enjoyment of my computer and I want a way to remove this mess from my computer FREE OF CHARGE!
