OnlineNIC.com
Ignored my repeated requests for information regarding my own domain name

I registered my domain through OnlineNIC.com a few years ago, and it came time to change the domain name server settings. I attempted to get the information via phone and e-mail for two weeks, only receiving ONE e-mail response to nearly a dozen inquiries of different types, and nothing more when I responded to that e-mail. When I finally tried to communicate to vivian@onlinenic.com via MSN Messenger, I was told to contact my host provider, and that was the end of the discussion.
I finally received a login and password from my host provider IPOWERWEB.com to change my DNS1 and DNS2 to a different server location. I made the changes and triple checked that the servers were correct.
After I informed IPOWERWEB that I would no longer require their services, someone, either from OnlineNIC or from IPOWERWEB.com, changed my DNS server to an IPOWERWEB server, displaying an "Account Suspended" error page — without my authorization or knowledge (until after the act when my patrons could not get to my site).
When I again tried to change the DNS to the proper value, I was unable to do so because the login I had been given by IPOWERWEB.com no longer functioned. This has caused severe disruption to the operation of my site with many lost days of operation. I have no way of knowing how may patrons were unable to reach my site due to this unauthorized action.
The level of customer service I received has been severely lacking. I have also lodged an appropriate complaint with ICANN, InterNIC.net, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission.
I will certainly recommend to anyone I encounter looking for a registrar to go elsewhere.
