Internet & Web

Like many other reporters, we received several calls unsolicited both in Delaware and in New Jersey.

How these scammers get phone numbers and make calls when the numbers are listed on the Federal Do Not Call List is disgusting. A Do Not Call list should be just that. NO ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALL A NUMBER UNLESS THEY HAVE A RETURNABLE CALL NUMBER AND TRUE ID IN CALLER ID.

212-000-3459 showed on Caller ID but that is not a working number.

Sylvester Clark and other middle eastern sounding calers make it sound like they are there to fix Windows operating system and internet use problems on your computer. Our friends in Delaware actually let them in to their computer and we had to take strong action to get rid of them and the files they loaded onto the windows computer.

Sylvester Clark said he was in Cottage Valley, NY with a return call number of 1-888-458-9001.

A call back to that number got one of his associates who was so shocked that I asked for his address he gave me 616 Corporate Way, Suite 2, Cottage Valley, NY 10989. He did not seem concerned that someone in authority might pay them a visit.

I think we should get a class action suit going and get the authorities to shut these scammers down.

They claim they have a Better Business Bureau rating but it is probably a fraud just like what they have posted about themselves on the Internet.
