Chris Newmann Scam Lead generation and sales company targeting web designers Blackburn

Internet & Web

I was going to write out what happened to me and then found one of the other 3 reports detail almost exactly what happened to me, so here it is again with any ammendmends included of which there will be few or none!

They send you 2 fake leads and then get you to send money to their bank account/paypal account.
(I was sent the same leads as at least one of the other companies who these guys tried to scam. Anthony Cuthick from A&D Installations who went on holiday for a week and then on his return because i did not front up the money decided to go with another design company even tho he had verbally agreed to proceed with my proposal and Kirsty Dobbs of pretty Paws who wanted a 10k ecommerce site until her husband was suddenly taken into hospital. I even followed up to ask after her husband ;P)

They run it very well basically they will contact you offering 2 free leads and a list of leads with contact details blanked out, basically you contact the two free leads when happy they pressure you to sign up for 10 leads at 395.
(I notice one of the other design companies they tried to scam were only offered 5 leads for 395, I guess they were price testing)

They make it very convincing when you contact the free leads, they will start by saying we will contact the leads to let them know you are contacting them then you call the leads that day somone answers and you go through the process of asking the usual questions to get an idea of what they are looking for, now at this point they are usually very vague and you come out none the wiser as to what they want.
(I noticed how eager they were to part with lots of money. This flagged my suspicions and it is usually like getting blood out of a stone.)

Then the guy calling himself Chris Newman will say via email that he has two other companies interested and that if you want to be the exclusive partner to his company then he will not supply the leads to anyone else but that you must make the payment before he can release the leads.

Usually at this point he may have convinced you or if you are like me you maybe wait to see if the free ones pay a deposit, but in my case he caled back saying some sob stroy about him and his business partner having an argumant as he supplied the other comapnies with free leads but they got the work and never paid him for the 10 other leads.

Now if you are like me you will try and keep in contact with the possible leads as often as possible but in my case when i didi i could not get an answer on the phone for both of the leads, when i asked him about this he said that one was on holiday and the other works long hours.
This happened to me too

They can be very convincing and will stop at nothing to scam you please do not accept leads from this company or this guy as you will be sorry as i am now hoping paypal can return the money if not i have lost out and possibly the trust of my business partner and my dignity.
Thankfully I got wise to his scam before parting with any money

Sorry this is so long winded but i need to make sure that if you do get contacted and any of this information seems to fit your case it means possibly that you are in the process and possibly have been scammed.

If it is too good to be true it most probably is!
Agreed
