Was promising more than they would deliver

I stupidly got involved with a website that sounded good. They promised all kinds of freebies and coupons. It was about $3.90 to join. It sounded cheap enough. They said that If I was satisfied with my freebies it would cost $15.99 a month. I tried to cancel by phone, but was convinced that I would be getting $100 worth of coupons from Walmart, etc. I waited quite some time before the "coupons" to arrive. When they did, it was not coupons, but rebates that I could get after I had purchased certain items at Walmart.By this time, I already had 2 payments on my Discover Card. I really believe that this was a scam, with a whole lot of mumbo jumbo that sounds good, but rather was too good to be true!
