Public Relations Firm - Did no verifiable for my book

I hired IDEALAB to create something for the $3750.00 that they asked from me. Quick to send out forms for your credit card, slow to do a thing.

While they stated that they had extensive experience in other areas, were highly successful, they were a "little new" to the literary press game.

Well, after my money was "taken, " I asked for who and where they sent out their press releases (which took about 2 weeks for them to generate - should have been ready in 2 days) - "We do not provide that information to our clients." Wow, great!

When asked what they could show me that they had done? - Nothing solid. I spoke to Jack and Diane a few times on the phone, we sent a few emails, but the 30 hours I was billed for at $150/hr was a total and complete waste of money. BTW, the money is entirely upfront.

ZERO sales were generated.

They then wanted me to send an additional $395.00 for a AP news wire.

If you are an author DO NOT use IdeaLab to promote your book! In fact, I would not recommend them for any ad campaign, period.
