RescueGeeks Misleading advertising wont refund my money after returning product

I purchased a Touchscreen POS system from UTouchPOS aka RescueGeeks for my shop. The ad said $599 the actual price was $799.

When the system arrived it was all recycled hardware and an older version of their software running on Win XP. It seemed to work OK running on the Win XP SP1 system. I was concerned about security issues with SP1 but they said not to upgrand to SP3 the software would break.

After numerous calls to support and reading what little documentation there was in print and online I was still having issues using the system.

It was difficult to use and would not interface with my current Credit Card processing system. They said I had to use their credit card processing or nothing. So I retuned it as prescribed on their RMA policy document. I called and received email confirmation that they recieved the complete package on May 11.in the email it said to expect payment in 30-60 days. It has been more than 90 days and still not payment. They have not replied to my emails. Maybe they will respond to my lawyer.

It is not a huge amount of money, about $400 after all the fees and other deductions from the original price I paid. Just pay it.

I would not recommend these systems to anyone. The hardware was mid range 10 years ago, and the software is shaky at best.
