Stamps.com
Ripoff - Their software wouldn't download but they charged me $15.95 anyway

Stamps.com are charging me $15.98 for an account they claim I have opened with them. I tried to open an account for stamps but their software would not download.

I emailed them the same day telling them their software wouldn't download and I couldn't access their program. They sent me some kind of "techy" mumbo jumbo. However I tried again with no success. The software would only download half way and I would get a window telling me I needed some kind of an exe. File (which I didn't have.)
I reported this to the company to no avail.

They say I "opened an account" because I accepted their agreement.

Well I accepted their agreement in order to get the stamp program. I didn't get the program so I can't see how I opened an account. No matter what I tell them, they say they are charging me for an "account". I did not buy an account, I tried to buy a stamp program.

They won't refund my money. I wish I had checked this board! Apparantly they make their money by ripping you off not by selling a program for stamps.
