Ripoff promises search engine placement but rips you off when it fails

TOP-10 Promotions/Roanoke Technology Corporation has a very slick and professional sales approach with great looking credentials, so I signed up for their basic Search Engine promotion plan at $2,495.00, which was guaranteed to get our newly redone website placed in the top 20 rankings of the major search engines.

What actually happened was that our placement with the major 3 search engines fell from about 60th place to about the 250th place!

When I contacted my account manager, John Sadli, Jr., he said that it would take some time, but that we had actually progressed quite well in other search engines. The ones he was referring to are minor engines and this was all using non-major search terms.

I requested a better answer as to why my business should have to severly suffer for a period of almost 6 weeks so far, at which time he said he would get back to me. That was on a Friday. Today is Wednesday, and I've yet to receive a phone call, fax, or e-mail from anyone from that company. And this is even AFTER using their "Customer Support" email (which is supposed to be the fastest) AND leaving a message with one of the principals, Russell Jones.

PLEASE avoid doing business with this company, for they obviously do not intend to backup their promises or guarantees. I checked with usacomplaints.com first before signing on with this company, and I wish I'd read this "report" from someone else first.
