Ripoff, fraud, unfair credit reporting

I am writing on my husband's behalf, because his experience with LeaseComm has effected both of us.

In July he entered an agreement with LeaseComm to receive payments on behalf of a company called NetAdvisor, which was to provide web design training, and LeaseComm deducted $49.95 from our checking account every month. He had tried unsuccessfully to get the training he was promised, and was no longer able to reach anyone at NetAdvisor.

In February he contacted a lawyer who determined that the parties were in breach of contract and sent a certified letter to both NetAdvisor, and to LeaseComm. LeaseComm agreed to discontinue taking the $49.95 payment per month, and as a precaution we notified our bank that they were no longer authorized to withdraw funds from our account.

We thought that was the end of it, but it all surfaced again a few months ago. Our Visa Card with a 7.99% fixed rate suddenly jumped to 25.99% with no notice (that will be my next stop on this website). When we called we were told that due to negative reporting on my husband's credit report our rate was changed. When we got a copy of the report there was LeaseComm. More than a year later they reported him!

This reporting has caused us to also be turned down for a home equity loan, and of course we now have a long battle ahead with the Credit Bureaus.

I have read plenty of negative reporting on LeaseComm on this site as well as on other sites. We paid nearly $1600 to them before a lawyer put a stop to it. It has cost us more than that - my husband now has bad credit, and the interest we have to pay on the credit card just keeps adding to what LeaseComm cost us.

I truly hope they are brought to a class action suit so that all the people they have cheated and swindled will get some compensation. They should be shut down for good!
