Ripoff, did not honor warranty, never answered letters, phone calls

I purchased a $1200 Gateway computer via the telephone and within a month the keyboard would freeze up requiring multiple phone calls to their technical line which required over 1-2 hours of waiting and online repairs. They refused to replace the computer stating it was reparable by these measures. This went on several times, and each time I requested a new computer and expressed my concerns that my warranty would run out. They promised each time they would honor the warranty.

As expected, it was never repaired. On my last call, which was a few weeks out of the one year warranty, they refused to even speak to me because, "My warrany was up, and I had no technical service rights!!!" I could do nothing as I was unable to speak to anyone. I wrote to the corporate office about the rip off and my disgust with corporate dishonesty. They never gave a return response! I would NEVER buy from Gateway or any other online or telephone business. I want an accountable human being to look me in the eye!
