Pc Meets.com
Computer Repair Scam

Internet & Web

Called to our number to attempt to persuade us that they had located a problem on our computer, could help us, claiming that they had been in business for 6 years, and owned several buildings, and were registered as a corporation in Oregon, located at 14927 SW Millikan Way Beaverton OR and that they have been in business all over the United States, "Many Offices"... The long lags between answers to simple questions alerted me to possible fraud as they probably checked the blackboard for how to respond to such questions. Ultimately hung up when I asked for their tax id number. I checked them out on Google earth and the location appears to be a residential neighborhood... Wanted me to call them back or to go to the website (pcmeets.com) to verify how good a company they were... I kept asking for some other way to verify their legitimacy.

Cant find any reference to them online so I wanted to make sure someone else who searched for their name had at least my report to make them think twice about dealing with them. I was really abusive to the fellow when I first talked to him, stuff like "how can you sleep at night", but amazingly he hung in there trying to convince me they were real and get me on their website. Not sure of their racket, but it has all the indices of fraud.
