Play Money Point System

I have constantly complained about the point system. Every time I play and win I never get full credit. Recently I played for 1000 pts. I had 6363 pts. It was a very close game (had all men off board except 2). After game I had 5363 pts. Prior to that I had bet 1000 pts, won game, opponent had all men still on board, When game began I had 4500 pts. When game was over I had 5100 pts, not a 5500. I won by a gammon. This always, I mean always happens. I never get the correct points but if my opponent wins they get the correct amount. Why?
