Amershop unauthorized credit card charge, photo enhancement service

A unauthorized "monthly service fee" of $6.93 appeared on our pending credit card transaction report on 1/24 by a company identified as Amershop.net for "photo enhancement" services. We don't know the company, we have never signed up for any such service, and have never used that particular card for any internet-related purchases or service fees. We immediately notified out bank and filed a report and the bank is investigating.
There are 7 other reports on here on usacomplaints.com - but wondering how this happened? Concerned it may spawn additional fraudulent use of our credit card by other scams. We are cancelling the card just to be safe.
