Gettyimages Another fallen Victim

I have a website where my designer stated she used pictures that were free. That was about three years ago. Well, I got my threatening settlement demand from Gettyimages, a company I never heard of before. They said I used an unauthorized image and they wanted 875.00 today.

It did not seem right so I decided to google gettyimages scam. There they are, making money off of innocent people. As I can see just because I took every image off my website that will not be the end. It seems our society has gone crazy and any way to make a buck is okay today, the world of "entitlement" & Okay, if my designer made a mistake, okay I will take the picture down.

I agree with a lot of the other writers, we need to make this company known for who they really are, all united we can bring them down, people just need to be educated. If I knew about this scam, I would not have taken any chances and removed all pictures I did not take myself from my website. Using others' pictures when you think they are free and then find out they are not is not worth any chances. I now need to contact a lawyer.
