Ripoff on Canon Powershot S400 Digital Camera

On 5/2/04 I visited an auction on amazon.com and noticed a Canon Powershot S400 Digital Camera for sale for $160.00 and in the description the seller stated he had a better deal on them at www.sickride.net/cam/.

On that web site he has a new in the box sealed Canon S400 Digital Camera 4.0 Megapixel Powershot with 3x optical zoom with free extra compact flash card 128MB for $185 including 3 day priority shipping. He further stated that he could be paid securely with any major credit card through PayPal. I paid for the camera through PayPal on 5/2/04 transaction #11P04395NP096970D and received an email from PayPal for the receipt of payment to a Chris Bowmen for $185.00. On 5/2/04 I received an email receipt from Rex Ellison - schism242@msn.com for the $185.00 PayPal payment to Chris Bowmen whos typed name appeared at the bottom of the email.

The email also stated the camera would be shipped out to me on Tues 5/4/04 and that tracking information would be provided to me at that time. When I did not receive the camera by 5/7/04 I sent an email to schism242@msn.com on 5/7/04 and again on 5/8/04. I have lodged a complaint with PayPal, msn.com and Sprint as I understand the IP address for schism242@msn.com is 204.97.214.129 which I understand is in the Sprint Network. I also understand the IP address for sickride.net is 216.17.111.247

This is how I encountered the camera I paid for and never received. I saw it on amazon.com and was referred to another site (sickride.com/cam/). I am attaching the following pages because I believe this to be a rip off related to mine. I hate to see this happen to others or PayPal. I hope this helps.

I did a google search for sickride and these are the results. Each site I goto on the Canon Powershot S400 list the seller of an $185 camera as astrodog54 and it is to be purchased with payment through PayPal. Is this the same scam artist? Watch OUT!!!
