Inc. Ripoff! There's no support and they sell defective products

I inherited a Canon MultiPass C2500 a couple-a-years ago. Since this acquisition, I have had nothing but trouble with my MultiPass printer. The biggest problem has been with the color printhead, the BC21e. For example, I bought one back in May and barely used it to print about 10 Resume's which did have a minor amount of color in it. Afterwards, not needing the printer for a couple-a-weeks, I went to print some pics of a party I attended and the printer wouldn't print color.

After trying everything I knew as a technician I am, I still was unsuccessful at getting the color to print, I went back to OfficeMax, purchased another OEM BC21e, went home, installed it and it worked as it should. That was in October. I finished the project at hand that week and again, didn't print any more than 100 pages of text with very little color.

About 4 weeks later, I had another need to print a pic in color and the printer again, could not be made to print from the color cartridge, BC21e. I have called Canon time and again without any satisfying results. As the computer IT technician I am and trained to work on all standard models of poplar-brand printers, I can definitely say, I wouldn't suggest anyone buying a Canon printing product due to the lack of concern and follow-up support you will not receive.

I called Canon this day I composed this complaint and told them I was about to publish a complaint on "consumer complaints.com" and another site called "complaints.com". After argueing another 15mn about the difficulty with this printhead and how I would not suggest anyone buy a Canon product ever again, the tech support guy I was speaking with, "Alex" couldn't get his supervisor because they were in a meeting and he went out on a limb and said he would send me a "courtesy" replacement, but still seemed insensitive to the report of bad BC21e printheads and their failure.

I was told, no more consideration would be given because this printer is out-of-warranty. I followed-up that comment with how long I had been trying to get any customer support for this printer and that I should have a case number for reoccurring incidents regarding this printer and I should have been issued an RMA for returning a "lemon" printer. He simply replied, "... Thank you for calling Canon USA, is there anything else I can do to help you..." I said no thank you and hung up because of the trepidation I had already suffered during this call. Don't buy Canon products!
