International Media Experts Scammed me for undelivered services and make it VERY difficult to cancel!

My first conatct was through an unsolicited sales call. I was promised page 1 pleacement on Google using the search Phrase relevant to my market area for real estate sales. I was promised an intial set up fee of $14.95 and a month to mont, no obligation, fee of $79.00. The guarantee was that I would come up on the first page of Google whenever that phrase was searched. I was told that statistics showed this as a viable search phrase. I asked about others and they told me that they were not currently available and the one I wanted for the adjoining city was an additional fee of $108.95 per month. I went with the lower priced phrase to try ir out for 30 days. I was told that I needed to cancel a few days before my 30 days was up to stop the billing. They clalimed they were "certified partners with Google". They also told me to stay close to my phone as the leads would be significant. They even gave me a "Free" personal website that my linked add would link to filled with valuable information for my prosepcetive clients. I checked out the website a few days later when I recieved a call that it was completed. It looked good! Oh Boy! Am I gullible!

On day 28 I called to cancel as I was experienceing no changes in lead generation. The girl I spoke with was VERY nice we hit it off great and she promised to change the search phrase to something that brought more "hits" for the same price. She also agreed to link to my main website from the ad. She assured me that I would get an email, specifically identifying the changes made to my account. I never recieved an email. Now, day 58, I called to cancel my account again. I was done. No more chances for correction, marketing funds are too scarce. The account rep was VERY nice again, tried to make small talk and when asked to cancel, put me on hold to pull up my account information. She returned to the line and tells me that her manager says she can offer me an additional month at no charge! I reiterate that I am done and would like to just cancel my account. I am put on hold for an Account Manager for 25 minutes! Then an Account Manager Assistant comes on the line and tells me that I can contiinue to hold or have an Account Manager call me back.By this time I am fit to be tied and let her know that the customer service needs to be rethought. She tells me she cannot handle my cancellation and that an Account Manager will get back to me. I asked about a time frame and she said by the end of the day. I then went online and googled the companies anddiscovered a large amount of negative information and reports about this company. I will keep you updated as to the time it will take to get this account cancelled. At this point, I am curious as to how they continue to get away with this scam after all the complaints.
