My son went online to find out how to obtain a passport, and this website came up. Very deceptive! Internet

Internet & Web

My son wanted to obtain his first passport, and he searched online for how to get one. The USA Immigration Support site (www.usaimmigrationsupport.com) comes up when you do a search. It is very misleading, especially if you are not familiar with the passport process. They charge you $149, which you might reasonably expect is the fee for processing and filing your actual passport. But no - they are charging $149 to fill out the paperwork for you. You still have to take it to the post office and pay the fees to have it processed.

When they returned his paperwork (all filled out accurately, but for $149, I should hope so), they actually offered him the option of sending in his application and supporting documentation to the US Immigration Organization for review to make sure everything was in order before he submitted the application for actual processing. They claim that over 75% of applicants choose this option. The charge for this additional service is $75.

My son paid them by check, so I didn't figure there was any way to get a refund. But I would definitely like to get the word out about this misleading and deceptive website. It is worded in such a way that even intelligent and well-educated people could be fooled by it. And if there is a way to get that $149 back, I would like to know about it.

US Immigration The website www.us-immigration.com makes everyone think that this is a government website, and that the fees paid are actual application fees. But, by paying $149, all you get is a filled form
