Rebate Denial

I purchased a Western Digital 120GB internal drive from Fry's on 2/13/04. I submitted a $50 rebate to their rebate processor in Florida. I received an email saying the date of my purchase was out of the offer period which is dead wrong. Fortunately I scanned and saved the forms before sending. I sent them a response asking that they look at the scanned images which clearly show that the purchase date of 2/13/04 was in the window of 2/13/04 to 2/19/04. I received a foem response exactly the same as the first one. I responded yet again urging them to LOOK at what I sent them and explain specifically why it was invalid. I received yet another form response. ARRGGHH! I was fortunate to find this web site as others have had similar experiences with this WD rebates and have some good info on who to contact at WD. Their rebate processor (parago?) may indeed be running a scam. Be sure to make copies of your rebate submittals folks.
