They stole others work and tried to pass off as their own. Did not follow directions

I just wanted to share my experiences with this company called XHTML Junkies. I hired them to convert a psd to wordpress. Before paying them I spoke with one their developers about the work I needed done and told them exactly what I needed. I was given a quote of 128 for the work.

I sent payment over along with the psd file and a jpg file showing how it needed to look afterwards. I also attached a summary of what needed to be done as we had discussed prior to payment.

A few days later they sent me a wordpress theme that was incomplete, nonfunctioning, and stolen from somewhere else.

I asked for a refund, that they 100% guarantee on their site, to have it refused. Showing that they are not only unprofessional but also lying thieves.

This is a the conversation that I had with them. It goes into a lot more of the problems I had with them. They lied to me throughout the entire convo. Ignored all the issues and kept trying to focus on something else that they also did wrongly

First off i sent a final project preview with a lot of notes attached to the order as to what the wordpress needed to do. Several concepts of that were left out

Then in the psd whoever coded it and cut the image messed it up

They combined many layers into one

And made it all background images

For instance they made 5 different layers all into one image

When they all needed to be one element

I sent multiple emails with mistakes that they made

On the 29th i sent back with a big list of errors and changes that needed to be done

And over the period of this weekend i sent more changes cause as i was testing it i found more bugs and major problems

The instructions i sent at the very beginning of the project upon payment were not followed whatsoever

It is what i sent payment for with an understanding that the work wolud be done

And so far it has not been done

This is the first email i sent back after i got the wordpress theme

The widget ability does not work. It lists each page in the widgets area
like it is supposed to but when I add the widgets to it they do not show
up on the page.
There are 2 files attached. One is the changedneeddone.png file with notes
on what needs fixed.
The other is a preview of the design next to the inner page that you can
reference to see how the changes need to look.

So that is still not done

And is something i was told prior to payment that it would do

Also in that email was an attachment with things that they did not do such as even basic styling

Which was part of the psd

So they DID NOT follow the psd

The styling they used was STOLEN from another persons wordpress theme

Of the theme that your company made. It still has the admin panel to confgure the options of the theme that you workers stole from

They did not even delete that

When i go to the widgets page in the wordpress admin it is also broken

And its not a widget that doesnt work. Its the widgetized areas

It was done totally wrong

I checked, in the checkout, that i wanted seo semantic coding

And what elements needed to to be what

And i just checked

And thats not even done right
