Starblind Books
Ji ji books this company is a fraud—beware of purchasing from them on amazon and alibris

Internet & Web

I purchased a book from Amazon who stated the bookseller was Ji Ji Books/Starblind.

When I received it I noticed it was a bibliography. Since this is only for researchers or academics, I wrote to them explaining the confusion and asked to return the book. I received no response. I emailed them 4 times and still have the emails to prove this.

When I did not hear from them after the 4th email, and since I was leaving the US in 2 days (I live outside the US), I decided to return the book and I went to the postoffice and sent it by USPS priority mail with delivery receipt to the return address on the package. I have a copy of the receipt. I also have a copy of the confirmation of delivery.

I then wrote to them telling I had returned the book. I received an hysterical phone call from them then immediately saying NOT to return the book; I told them I already had done so.

Then they kept saying they never received the book, despite the delivery confirmation receipt. I also have emails from them saying that they would not receive it because I sent it the address on the envelope which was not their address.

They never returned my money; they continued to say they never received the book. AMAZON refused to stand by me despite many many years of purchasing from them and never making any complaints for refunds. My daughter was marrying so I was absorbed in other issues for several months. I just went to AMEX and asked them to assist me in reversing the charge but they say this JIJI says they didn't receive it back.

They send me a mail from JIJI which is full of lies claiming I had stated I never received the book and stating that I had said I sent it by accident to another address out of state. These are outright lies and this company should be put out of business for fabricating lies. I had always claimed to have received the book; if I had not received it I would not have had returned it.

I URGE everyone not to purchase anything from them. They don't seem to have any address or contact information and they only use amazon and alibris to sell their merchandise and refuse to acknowledge any terms of purchase/refunds. I believe amazon stands by them because they sell a lot through them I also believe all their ratings are false ratings because I don't see the rating at all that I put on amazon which was a below-zero rating.

USE another company because I still have not received my refund from them and they have my book. I went to USPS and they told me they have confirmation of delivery and as well that if it were not the address the book would have been returned to me, which is was not. This company is a SCAM company.
