I was also victim to this Scam. I did not sign up for anything or give out my number. This was random. I use Sprint and they blocked the service and refunded the $9.99. Either they got my number from a person or a company, because it wasn't from me. We get the same 3 initial texts saying the same thing. I was afraid to reply to stop, because that would confirm that i was actual existing phone number for future attacks. But I called Sprint right away. I see some people have had a problem with sprint not refunding the charges, but they were very good for me. And I also signed up for alerts from old navy, bath n body works that send free alerts to sales events. Sprint didnt assume that because i have those alerts that i also did this one. So maybe some people got a bad service rep. Mine was helpful.
