I have a Touch Smart TX2 which 2 months after the warranty expired my system board went. How do I know this is the issue, well being in tech support for over 20 years I know how to research and find T/S steps. I followed all steps listed in HP's self help and recovery area of the website. With each step the system getting worse and worse to now I do not even get a POST.
I called in after seeing that there has been many issues exactly like the one I have. The Tech said yes there is an issue with these system boards but it will cost me 398USD to get it repaired. I have looked in the forums nad found that this an issue that is well known as well as even recongnized by the video chip manufacturing and some HP Techs.
What happened HP, did you forget to take care of your customer base and keep Carly's attitude of 'Turn and Burn'?
Remember what she did to your stocks?
Yes enough of your crap hit the market and you will loose your standing as Gateway did long ago.

BTW I also own a Palm Pre, a long time supporter of the Palm but now that I know you have purchased the company and are also not listening to your customers there either it looks like I will now give up on Palm as well. Oh well so much for product loyalty.
