My main complaint with Smartech was the pay. Upon being hired I assumed that pay was per hour including travel time. This is not the case, its a flat rate regardless if the case your working on has the correct address or not and no matter how long the repair takes or how long your traveling to even get to the job.
Before actually working for Smartech be clear on the salary - it is not per hour and no allowance for mileage or gas allowance. If your happy with that then go for it.
I was qualified to repair laptops and desktops but they always seemed to take longer then it was worth for me to repair them. Not to mention no reimbursement for travel time or gas allowance.
I also found myself having to go to different addresses other then what the work orders stated. This took even more time and mileage. Since I live in a state where no one is close and everything requires travel time, since the gas prices have been rising and I strongly felt a negative cash flow, that was the last straw for me.
