K-Mart Parts of my order were cancelled as "out of stock" but re-listed on site at higher prices days later

A few weeks ago, I ordered some discounted items off the site, along with one non-sale item. A few days later, they canceled all the discounted items from my order, and only shipped the non-sale item. The stated reason was that all those discounted items were "out of stock" before I ordered. (Then why were they still on the website? Most websites automatically manage inventory.)

The rip-off is this: A few days later, the "out of stock" items were still on the website, with the prices jacked back up. I won't buy from the site again, there's too much dishonesty or just plain incompetence.
