I ordered the complete "Designing Women" tv series on DVD at tvdvdtown.com during their tvdvdcloseouts.com sale for $64.95 plus $24.95 S & H for a total of $ 89.90 My bank paid the $89.90 5-19-10 perfectdvds. I don't know any perfectdvds. What is more strange is that there was an 'international service fee' for $00.72. This amount is not alarming. The fact of any international service fee is alarming to me. I did receive my order. It was seriously and obviously pirated. The visual quality was inferior, there were choppy cuts in and out commercials... That's right, commercials that advertized previews of other programs like Cagney and Lacey. There was the reminder that Designing Women would be moving back to Thursday, and that small little station i.D.in the corner of the tv screen. I don't remember the call letters, but I can tell you that the recordings were made in Pittsburg, PA
First, let me say that the receipt was of little help because it was predominantly in Chinese and from Hong Kong. I did find an online address, http://www.ems.com. Cn. When I left a message and left my email address, I did get a response. I was informed that the Hong Kong post office didn't handle entertainment dvds like "Designing Women" and that I should contact the seller directly the Hong Kong post office mall at shopthrupost.com. Hk. This yielded nothing except there was a network time out and that the server is taking too long to respond.
That pretty much sums up my sad tale. I want a full refund. Knowing this is unlikely, I would love to know that this racket is stopped so that others will not have the same thing happen to them.
