VIDEO PROFESSOR'S Unauthorized debiting of my checking account

Internet & Web

Video Professor's ("VP") TV ad call center led me to their website where I thought I was paying only for S&H of $6.95 with a single software Quickbooks tutorial to be sent in August. After having a bike accident in a benefit ride (ride2recovery.com) from San Francisco to Los Angeles, I spent months in the hospital. All the while, VP continued to send unrequested titles to my home and debit my bank account for $189.95 for 7 titles.
The VP customer rep via telephone failed to return the unauthorized debits saying that I should have read the details on the website (later discovered a link on their website in the smallest font "How it works"). Seems most all of the details including the pricing of $189.95 was there and the need to return 2 of the 3 disks in the software package to not be charged. Rather like a puzzle. Until you have all the pieces one is not sure what it will look like.
After getting out of the hospital and well into rehab following my accident, I realized that they had been attaching my banking account to the tune of $1,700. When I asked about a refund and the returning of the 7 unrequested titles, the VP rep said I would then be out the postage as well, that VP did not want the unopened boxes returned.
So after communicating with the Denver BBB, the Colorado Attorney General's office and the US FTC I still have no resolution to their taking of funds from my account while I was recovering from my bike ride to support the wounded warriors coming back from Iraq & Afghanistan.
Thank you for spreading the word about the Video Professor's marketing program.
