Could be secretly billing you via your phone bill!

I receive so many calls at work (Clean Water for NC) from telemarketers telling me they are just calling to verify our information for the yellow pages I honestly don't know which one this was. I have never authorized any product, service or billing for products or services. We are on the national Do Not Call list.

When we received our Oct. Phone bill there was a new service, "Enhanced Services Billing Inc." listed, which we had been charged $43.15 for. On Oct. 15th I called the phone company (AT&T) and they said it was a charge from a 3rd party, which they allow for certain internet/website companies. AT&T has placed a "bill block" on our account to keep things like this from happening in the future (ASK YOUR PHONE COMPANY TO DO THIS!), but told me I had to call the other company directly or they would keep billing us.

I called Enhanced Services Billing, told them we were being charged for unauthorized services and requested an immediate refund. I was told they submitted the order for refund and cancellation, there were no other charges at this time and I had been placed on their company's do not call list. It could take up to 3 months for cancellation to go through. The woman I was talking to verified the name of the business (Enhanced Services Billing Inc.), but would only give the business location as "central Florida." She said she could not give me an address, only that they were in central Florida.

I asked to speak to a manager and was routed to a "Floor Manager" who told me they offer "priority listing for website attachment..." I asked the name of the business and he said they were Online Business Association - Enhanced Services Billing is a 3rd party billing company. Online Business Association is located at the address listed above. I told him we were on the do not call list and I did not appreciate being billed for unauthorized charges.
