Web Hosting Pad
Review - Web Hosting Pad Totally Sucks, Horrible Customer Service

Internet & Web

I purchased a domain and hosting package from Web Hosting Pad, Inc, over a year ago.in that time, I decided I would not renew my purchase for the following year, and as my credit card would soon expire, I simply did not renew the card on their files.

They then submitted my information to a non-English-speaking collections agency, that has since harassed me non-stop to pay the balance. I did not authorize the renewal fee, as I no longer wished to utilize their services. I paid the full amount for the services I wanted, and did not knowingly authorize any further charges.

When I attempted to resolve the issue, they responded with this very not-helpful email:

In order to cancel your account, you needed to submit a cancellation form which is available on our website in our billing terms at http://www.webhostingpad.com/billing_policy.html which also explains how renewals, cancellations, and billing is handled.

These are the same terms and policies you agreed to at the time of signup. This was confirmed by you on our order form by indicating that you had read and agreed to the terms. If they were not agreeable, you would not have been able to sign up with us.

To resolve this issue, you will need to pay the collection agency in full.

Translation for I and all future customers:

Suck it. Just because you didn't knowingly agree to our forced continuity program doesn't mean you're off the hook! Pay up and then we'll call off the collection agency.

There are a million other hosting companies with better services, better rates, and infinitely better customer service systems (search for reviews on Hostmonster, Godaddy, Webolocity, etc). I don't normally post up negative reviews on any company, but Web Hosting Pad has set a new standard in truly lame customer experiences.
