Xing AG not willing to cancel my premium membership, Germany

I took the premium membership of Xing.com 3 months ago. Xing is a social networking site famous in Germany. However i didn't find the premium membership very useful.
Then one fine day Xing send me bill for 20 for renewal by email for the next 3 months saying my renewal date was today and my premium membership has been renewed. I immediately wrote them not to extend my premium membership. However Xing did not listen and said if i didn't want to renew the premium membership then i should have told them 14 days in advance.
Now my question was why you did not send me an reminder 14 days in advance? Should i keep in mind when does my membership for a social networking site expires and that I should cancel it 14 days in advance! Its much easier for Xing to just send reminder in advance to all the premium member. But Xing doesn't do it so that it can RIP off the customers.
Can anyone with legal background suggest what should i do? Why am i forced to extend the membership by 3 months? I don't want it!
