I Have to AOL accounts, one by my girl friend, the other by myself. We live at differnat addresses. This weekend I went to my bank to make a with drawl and 250.00 was missing from my account... 134.00 was chrged to my debit card... To my account which had been empty causing my account to bounce 99.00... Thats three seperate bounces of 34.00 to accounts that normally wouldn't have bounced. But were due to simple escape charges.

My girl friend's son was on her computer, and a pop up came up. That said to click ok... Not knowing what the pop up was. Her son just clicked ok... The instant he did. Simple escapes billed my debit card 134.00.. To an account that was empty and cause me to bounce charges from my bank another 99.00.. Totalling 250.00 in all. I only have one debit card for both my girl friend and I use and we only use it for AOL.

I called simple escapes from my bank. And they told me they were affiliated with AOL and thats how they got my credit card imformation. I was imediately refunded my 134.00 with in 2 days. And am still waitng for the 99.00 $ bounce charges they caused me. That my bank officer said they were responsible for... Then I called AOL and they completely denied having any affiliation with simple escapes. And denied ever having given my credit card no's to anyone on line..

I haven't decided to leave AOL but. I have warned all to beware of AOL and simple escapes having an afiiliation with one another. Be wary or you too could be short 134.00 with in an instant to your debit card with out actually fiiling out anything or ordering anything becasue of this scam...
