Beware Itok

Internet & Web

Itok promised to provide a solution of a technical issue (which took them about 30 seconds for which I was charged $79.90), plus cleaning/maintenance They didn't finish the service due to power outage on my end, of which I promptly informed them. They said I could call back when power was restored, which I did, but have been unable to reach an actual person by phone. I have sent quite a few email queries and have received no response, including 2 via their online Help form which guarantees a response within 15 minutes. They also may have left unwanted executables on my computer which I would like to remove if possible, but they seem to be refusing to communicate with me. Clearly this company feels free to ignore customers seeking a simple follow-up to an interrupted session, since I initially contacted them in a very friendly manner merely seeking to find out whether they considered their service concluded.

IMPORTANT INDUSTRY SECRETS: I contacted them because after apparently being invaded by a virus, my wireless stopped working. All they did was run: services. Msc, scroll down, find "Wireless Zero Configuration, " and restart it (this service had apparently gotten stopped by the virus). I essentially paid $79.50 for that. So hopefully you can save $79. Now that you know about this. Another little piece of information that they wouldn't tell me until I paid an additional $59.50 is that Malwarebytes is a better virus protection service than AVG or Spydoctor.
