$225 for wedding favors never received and not refunded

I ordered wedding favors from KarenAnnWeddings yourweddingstore.org from ebay on November 18 (100 Fleur Dis Le WineStoppers for $225). Upon winning the bid on ebay I was emailed by KarenAnnWeddings asking for date needed, shipping information, and to look at her websites to order anything additional as shipping would be combined. I wrote back that I didn't need anything else, gave her the shipping address and the date I wanted the favors there (my wedding was in my home state, not my current state). I wanted the favors there for the dry run in early December.

The favors never came in early December... On December 24 I emailed KarenAnnWeddings back and asked for the status on the favors as I needed them for the wedding on January 3rd. Karen Anne Weddings emailed back and said that the favors would be shipped overnight at her expense because of her mistake once the drop-shipper opened (since they were closed on this holiday). I was assured they would get to me in time. I received an email back saying that my favors were out of stock and I could substitute if I wanted to. I chose to subsitute, but those again were not shipped. I emailed on the day of the wedding and said I wanted a refund as the items were not received. I got an email back saying to place a money request on paypal for the refund. I email back asking for instructions on how to do this and why the refund couldn't be generated from her end. I didn't get a response. A few days later I figured out how to place the money request. Upon doing this I got an email from KarenAnnWeddings offering the expedited shipping and include a free gift. I emailed back with the past email copied saying that my refund was already promised on my wedding day when the items did not arrive, and that I wanted my refund, not a free gift.

On January 18 I emailed saying I needed the money back, at that time I was given the I've been in the hospital with seriously ill family members lie. I emailed back to refund the money as soon as possible and my condolensenses. I gave her a few more days and then emailed repeatedly with no answer. My mistake was that January 18 was the last day to file a claim with ebay.

I can't say my wedding day was ruined because it was a great day, but I will always remember being ripped off by this person and knowing I made the mistake of compassion when I should have just filed the claim. Today KarenAnnWeddings yourweddingstore@hotmail.com cancelled the money request I sent. If anyone has success getting their money back from this person please let me know how you did it. I saved all the emails and messages with unfullfilled promises and would be happy share them with you.
