'Lost' our Money and Will Not Return It Sweden

For more than a year now, we spent thousands of dollars with GetAFreelancer every month. GetAFreelancer was one of the better, more credible freelancer sites. We LOVED GetAFreelancer. We bought tens of thousands of dollars of services from our vendors at GetAFreelancer.

Two weeks in a row, we gave GetAFreelancer money via PayPal and they 'lost' our money. This last time, it took them over a week to find it. Now with this most recent 'loss', they are refusing to return our money to our PayPal account and they have suspended our GAF account too.

Bear in mind, we are fully aware that the GAF payment system errors sometimes and their database does not properly update member account balances. We understand this issue. Up until these last few weeks our lost payments were always promptly and courteously credited to our account as soon as the staff at GAF was made aware of the issue. No hassle. No problem. Now, all they are doing is requesting information they do not need and stalling - when all they need to do is take three minutes to review their PayPal account and then properly credit the lost transaction to the proper GetAFreelancer member's account.instead, we now have to file numerous trouble-tickets, they ask us for information they do not need and take days to do something that only took minutes or hours before. This is NOT how the GetAFreelancer we know, and love, operates. Something has changed at GetAFreelancer and not for the better.

We have now filed payment disputes at PayPal which GetAFreelancer refuses to answer. They have offered to unsuspend our account and credit our GAF account with the lost deposit, only after we have dismissed our payment disputes at PayPal. Any fool knows that as soon as a PayPal dispute is dismissed it cannot be refiled nor re-disputed. We are not fools.

Why GetAFreelancer has decided to treat us like this is beyond our understanding.

It appears obvious from the other two recent reports filed here, there is something very different with the way GetAFreelancer is now operating...

Unless GetAFreelancer wants to lose all the good Service Providers and good Service Buyers they took so many years to build, nurture and recruit, GAF had better get their act together, stop dancing and start focusing on customer service.

We are now going to file similar complaints with the Australian Securities and Exchange Commission, the Swedish Companies Registration Office, the Federal Trade Commission and the Securities and Exchange commission of the United States.
