Register.com is blocking transfer of my domain, N.Y. New York

Egister.com is blocking the transfer of my domain by falsely recording an incorrect answer to my secret question. I've attempted to resolve this but they have ignored my emails, blocked me from live chat and put me on hold/cut me off when calling. Funny how you can always get through to them when you're trying to buy something. They think they're going to exhort their ridiculous renewal fees from me but i wouldn't use them if they were the last registrar on earth.
