Pay, indeed, is not real

I'd like to start by saying that I did love working for MRT. I was employed by the company for almost two years. The work was interesting, challenging, and the finished product was satisfying. I have been patient with pay, and continued to take work even when checks would come five weeks apart. I always thought the checks would roll in, regardless of how inconsistent the pay actually was. I kept high hopes for continuing a long standing relationship with this company, until a few days ago when all that came to an end.

MRT informed me that they did not know if or when they would pay me again. They said they are facing bankruptcy or a potential investor. MRT currently owes me nearly $3,700.00!!! Because I am not a resident of GA, I have no idea or way as to how I will ever recover even a portion of this money. I would gladly take anything at this point, after giving hundreds of hours to this company in good faith, and being returned with nothing.

An employee of this company told me months ago that, "they were all getting regular pay." That's nice for them, but it was the work that I did that made that possible. Now all I get is a slap in the face?

If anyone know how to regain any of the funds owed to me, please let me know. My hands are tied, and my pockets empty.
