2 unauthorized charges on my account today

Checked my account today and saw 2 suspicious charges that were NOT authorized. The name was Square Enix and after doing an internet search realized it was some kind of online gaming site. After several busy signals and being on hold for over 45 minutes, I finally spoke to a rep who stated 2 accounts had been set up with charges to my credit card. They canceled the accounts but said they could not back out the charges. Unbelievable. Now I had to cancel my card, and submit a request for unauthorized charges through my bank and wait to get the credit back. I am so disgusted!
