FreeDownloadHQ.com support@freedownloadhq.com MISREPRESENTATION OF A "FREE" OFFER FOR COMPUTER VIRUS PROTECTION

Internet & Web

I clicked on what I believed was the Download for the free edition, and ended up with the offer of 3 years coverage for US $37.95: i.E. For the paid edition! As I had the free edition of Avast on my desktop computerand liked the way that worked, I decided (although as a retiree, I can ill afford it), to go ahead and buy it.

I paid by Master Card, and Did Not got a confirmation of a payment and the only other email I received was from support@freedownloadhq.com with the following message:

'Congratulations and thank you for your recent subscription to Software-HQ. As a member, you will now have access to the finest software downloads available (not borne out so far), along with world class technical support (this appears to be a joke too).in just a few short moments, you will be downloading many of today's best internet downloads. You may now log into the website by using your email address you signed up with. Please click here to access our site: http://www.software-hq.net/members/logon.Asp IMPORTANT: Remember to bookmark this page for easy return access.

Please note that the use of a popup blocker can interfere with the download process. If the download will not start please disable your popup blocker and retry the download.

Thanks Again
Software-HQ'

I went to that website, and was asked to log in as a Member, under my email address, despite that I was not a member (presumably I am now), and was then effectively asked to choose the kind of software in which I was interested, and was then offered a number of AntiVirus programs, including Avast A/V 4.7 (which by my understanding is the Free version!), which, amongst others, I could download. I did not select anything to download. What I still haven't received is an acknowledgement of having purchased Avast antivirus 4.8, a link from which to download it, or a serial number with which to activate it!

I would like some assistance please, or my money back. I like to know who I'm dealing with, and who Q Business Solutions Inc. Is, and what is their relationship to CNet, Software HQ, and freedownloadinghq.com is in no way clear to me, any more that the lack of detail of the transaction provided to me.

Please tell me what my options are.
