Ripped me off on defective Computer Parts Rip-off

I answered a classified ad on Craig's List from a person selling computer equipment that I needed to build my fiance's Parent's new computer.

Tom Franks was selling a Pentium 3 733Mhz Processor, 30gig Harddrive, AGP Video Card, Modem, and NIC. The AGP video card, modem and NIC weren't worth much, but the Pentium 3 and Harddrive were worth the $90 that he wanted.

I went to his house and picked up the parts and paid him his money. I immediately went to Central Computer to get a motherboard for the CPU. The CPU didn't work. I thought well, he ripped me off on the CPU but at least I got the harddrive. After a few days, I plugged in the Harddrive into 2 computers. Both computers warned me that the drive would fail and to back up my data. After formatting and installing a new OS, the drive did not work more than a few minutes before crashing.

After which, I had no choice but to take it back to him. I brought the parts back to his house. He refused to pay me my money back. After some complaints, his mother, who was in the room, told him to give me some money, but he still refused. At the end of the conversation, he tells me, "that's what you get for buying online". He virtually admitted that he ripped me off and justified it by saying that people should be ripped off when dealing online.
