After selling WOW account to them, they sent a collection agency claiming that I "reclaimed" the account and now are demanding I pay $722.00, I have played WOW since I sold the account!

About a year ago I sold my World of Warcraft account to GamePal.com, hoping to make a buck or two before I called it quits. I regret not looking at usacomplaints.com for any existing reports of GamePal.com or else I would not be in this position, however I went ahead and sold my account to them anyways. I received payment from them of $129.00, which is what I was expecting.

So all is fine and dandy for about 10 months, until last week I received a nasty call from a collection agency stating that I "reclaimed" the account that I sold to GamePal last year. And now that I must pay them back $722.00, and if I don't then this will go against my credit. I was fairly blunt with the gentlemen on the phone of the collection agency, and don't think I will be getting a call back from them against, however I am now worried about my credit.

I don't even see how this is possible, because I gave GamePal.com the login info, and then received payment, and then received an email back stating that they had taken control of the account and changed the password. How would I be able to "guess" the new password that they changed it to and "reclaim" the account.

I am pretty upset now, because I have always made a solid effort to maintain good credit, by paying all my bills on time and never missing payments. Has anyone else experienced this before? Also, does anyone know if they will actually be able to put this against my credit? If so, what can I do to fight this and not have it go against my credit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
