Desjardins Creative Systems - Andrew Markle Is A Scam Web Design Artist. Takes Your Deposit Then Disappears

We contacted Andrew Markle to re-develop our site. We originally found him through O-desk but then he contacting us offline promising that he could do what we requested.

In the beginning he answered all emails promptly and even had a phone conference with us.

After we paid him $371 deposit, he "pretended" work on our project. We would send him design ideas and updates and either get an out of office response or a excuse that his "mother" was sick or someone died.

We tried to be patient and for 3 weeks, he gave us the runaround, not providing any updates to our site. Finally we had enough and gave him a deadline to get back to us or we would want to cancel the project. We called the business number he provided and it was out of service, we called the cell phone number he provided and it rang out.

We decided to cut all ties and send him an email (which was the only way we could get in touch with him) so that he would return our $371 deposit.

He sent an email back saying that due to our request they have cancelled our project and could not refund the down payment.in the contract we signed with Andrew & Desjardins Creative there was no mention of a un refundable deposit.

We then received another email stating
"Desjardins Creative thanks you for contacting us. We appreciate your interest in our company. However, as of 1 January Desjardins Creative is no longer in business. We unfortunately had to close our doors due to unforeseen economic reasons that were out of our immediate control. If you are interested in design projects, you can always contact Pixelita Designs at pixelita.com.

If you have an existing inquiry based on an existing design, your design has more than likely been taken over by another company and they will contact you shortly. We thank you for your patronage.

As you can see, this guy is running a scam. We don't even know if this Desjardins company even really exists. But we do know that he goes around conning people online.
