AmateurMatch.com This is a porn site, not a dating site

Internet & Web

In my email I get solicitations to join an adult dating site. I join, for free, fill out my profile information, submit a single photo, and these women start sending emails to me. They are hot, gorgeous, some are the right age (I'm 55 and realistic), some are much younger. I'm not a bad looking guy, and my ego is stroked.

I can't respond until I pay either $24.99 or $29.99 for a month. I opt for the premium membership. Now I can send unlimited emails, view all the DVD porn on the site (there is quite a bit, mostly from this guy called Pussyman, and it is of decent quality—yeah, OK, I looked, I downloaded, etc.).

So I email some of these women but then notice, below one of the photos, a notice from a guy who says "see the 'OC' in the upper right corner of the profile? This means they are fakes, put there to suck in members, " or something to that effect. And, sure enough, each of these preliminary emails are from these "OC" girls. So I email them anyway, telling them I don't believe they are real, but hold some doubt in reserve. I get emails back from 2 of them, one an outright babe who lives nearby (I'm in RI, and everything is nearby) and she says she is real and is interested. I reply, telling her that I'm interested in at least contacting her, ask for an email address or phone number, and after that, nothing.

I do a search for women in my age range (40 to 55) within a 25 mile radius and find mostly profiles with no photos, and a few that contain some crazy info. One says she weighs 98 pounds, but the photo tells me it may be 298 pounds.

Then I start getting more emails from new, non-"OC" women. But I'm noticing there are inconsistencies in their profile info. One says she is from Pennsylvania, New Jersey. (??!?) One says she is from New York, but mentions nightlife in Atlanta in her profile. Many say they have graduate degrees yet write like they have maybe a 6th grade education, and I wrote better in 6th grade. And I'm not talking text speak (f u no wat I mean—I'm getting tired—I F N N E N R G). I look below some photos and see a comment from a guy saying, "hey, didn't you have a profile listing a California address? And another would email saying, "I live in your state" and she lives in New Jersey. Or they would say, "I live close to you" and they are a 4 to 9 hour drive (via MapQuest). Some list towns that don't exist.

I'm not giving away any information to these women, but I tell them I am certainly interested in some sort of contact. Again, some are really fine looking women. So I reply, keeping it cool. They take a week or more to get back to me. Gee, I guess they weren't so interested after all. None, to date, have provided a phone number, email address, or a screen name for IM chatting. All have said they are very interested and motivated.

And the chat feature of the site? It is full of scam bots directing you to web pages for web cams and such bullshit. It is really a joke.

The only real thing is the porn on the site. It isn't worth $25 or $30 a month, though. You'll see all you want in the first week or two, depending on your level of activity, and the updates are few and far between.

So don't join this if you actually think you are going to meet anyone. You're not. I cancelled my membership before half the month was gone. You want real dating? Another rip-off, probably a much larger, more expensive ripoff than AM.
