Charged for a "free" subscription and renews without authorization ripoff

Similar story to most others reporting this company. My advice to anyone who has done business with these criminals:

Have your bank cancel your card and issue a new one, before NSS can do any more damage!

Late in after I had played a shockwave game online, the web site told me I had won a prize of free subscriptions, but that I would have to provide a card number for "confirmation purposes".

They charged my card for the subscriptions, and have charged it for renewals every year since then, without communicating with me about the renewals.

Even after the card I used had expired, they apparently guess the expiration date for the next card so that they can charge it.

Because they never notify me of these charges in advance they always bollix up my account and result in bank penalties. I put up with it until this year because I actually want the subscriptions. But enough is too much! I am paying entirely too much for these subscriptions because of the way they are renewed without notification.
