Virus and Spyware Software Company Scam Internet

I have been scamed by a Security Software company called Pro XP. I got home and on my computer there were red pop-up windows informing me that my hard drive has been infected by 11,322 viruses and/or spyware threats similar to Trojan. At the same time there were offers for me to download software that will clean and quarantine hard-drive on my computer. And supposedly all of this was happening right now. So, of course in a state of panick I did purchase their software over the internet.

I did contact their customer service three times within that hour as I was trying to save my computer so I couldn't figure out at that point that it's not a legit company. And I did give my credit card number to Pro XP. One hour later I realized that it's probably a scam. I looked up the phone number online and that led me to this web-site where I saw reports linked to the phone number of Pro XP and how people already got scamed by them.

At that point I contactd my credit card company and cancelled the card and informed them of the scam.
