ILD Teleservices (Venus) ILD Venus Voicemail ripoff charged services not authorized consumer fraud ripoff

We recieved a call from ILD Teleservices (Venus Voicemail) informing us that they wanted to send us information about their voicemail service. We told them we weren't interested but they insisted that we recieve an informational packet via the mail. At this point we asked them (Venus) if there would be any charges made to our phone. They said no. Two more times this same question was asked and NO was told to us.
Now it is Jan. 1 2003 and we recieved our phone bill with 3 seperate charges from ILD (Venus Voicemail) for over $67.00. Upon trying to make contact with ILD (Venus) we were told via a recorded message to contact our local phone service provider.
Upset and curious to see if this was a new scam we searched the internet and behold we have found tons of documents and websites confirming the same scams in their states. We as consumers need to find the corporate scum who bleed the hard working consumers and put them in jail!
