I ordered a 50cc Retro scooter from this dealer. The terms of payment leaned heavily upon "cash-up-front", with substantial shipping delays for credit card payments. Not wanting to lose any anti-fraud protection from my credit card, I allowed the dealer a 5% markup to help defray card processing fees. 11 days after my account was charged, a different (& lower-priced) scooter was delivered. I immediately called Olson Powersports & was told that Mr. Olson was out-of-town for 10 days but that he would be contacted. I called the distributor (Apollo Motorsports, Ontario, CA). The person who answered checked the order from Olson & my Retro wasn't even on the order. This person promised to follow up on it & call me the next day. It's been nearly a month & they haven't called. I exchanged numerous emails with the dealer before instructions to print out a return Bill of Lading were sent to me.in at least 2 of these emails, Brandon Olson agreed to credit my account for the purchase price of the scooter that I ordered. The scooter sat in my employer's warehouse for over a week until I contacted the carrier's local office only to find that a quote was issued for the return freight but that no pickup arrangements had been made. The scooter was picked up & a tracking number was provided by the carrier. I called Olson Powersports to give them the tracking number & asked again about getting a credit issued to my card. I was told that no credit would be issued, that for all they knew, I was sending them "a box of rocks". Things got a little heated after that & I remember suggesting that Mr. Olson practice a little self-impregnation, after which he hung up. I contacted my credit card issuer & began the dispute process. I'm presently jumping through all manner of hoops for them in order to document my case. Among the many items in my possession is a copy of the return delivery ticket on which Brandon Olson signed that it was received in good condition. It's been nearly 3 weeks & no credit has been issued by Olson Powersports. My card issuer has credited my account subject to the evidence that I'm gathering. I don't hold out much hope that I'll receive full credit for the money that Olson Powersports been wrongfully holding for all of this time nor do I think that I'm the first (nor last!) person to whom this has happened while dealing with them. I do, however, want to make an effort to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else who might just be silly enough to buy anything from them.
