Vox Products offered 2 rebates totaling $70 on a 250 GB external hard drive, purchased through Buy.com, to be received in 3-4 months. Eight months, a dozen emails, and multiple "check's in the mail" promises later, no rebates had been received. Then I filed complaints online with The Better Business Bureau (https://odr. BBB.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted. Aspx), the California Dept. Of, Commerce (http://www.dca.ca. Gov/consumer/complaints. Shtml), and the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant. Gov/. Within 10 days I had my $70 rebate check. If anyone reading this has been ripped off by Vox, I strongly recommend filing complaints with these agencies to get results. There are several online forums devoted to discussions about Vox rebates. All the experiences there are similar to mine: "check's in the mail, " but no check ever arrives.
